LE BNPé

  The Bureau de Normalisation du Pétrole (BNPé) is the French oil industry’s office in charge of French, European and international standardisation.
This office has received certification from the French Ministry of Industry.

Products & Methods department

The Products & Methods department, which has been “mandated” by AFNOR, directly manages more than 600 French, European and international standards concerning classifications, specifications and test methods for oil products. It also acts as secretary for the SC 1 (Terminology) and SC 4 (Classifications & Specifications) sub-committees of ISO/TC 28 'Oil Products and Lubricants’ and for CEN Technical Committee 336 on bituminous binders.

Material department

The Material department is “certified” to manage approximately 300 standards or draft standards. Its objective is to promote a single standard throughout the world for application everywhere. It assists AFNOR in the role of secretary for CEN/TC 12 ‘Petroleum Equipment’ and ISO/TC 67/SC 6 'Petroleum Equipment/Processing Equipment and Systems’.
